HP: Your Hit Parade (1931-1955)
CB: Cashbox (1950-1996). U.S. sales-based chart.
UK: UK pop charts (1952-present)
AC: Billboard adult contemporary charts (1961-present)
CW: Billboard country charts (1944-present)
RB: Billboard R&B/rap charts (1942-present)
AR: Billboard album rock charts (1981-present)
MR: Billboard modern rock (or alternative rock) charts (1988-present)
AA: Billboard adult alternative charts (1996-present)
If a song is followed by --, then it was a non-charting single or was never released as a single, but has become a classic nonetheless.
In addition, American radio airplay and worldwide sales figures are noted, in millions (ex: sales: 0.5 m, air: 0.4 m). See
