2006

Welcome to March! I’m doing a little Mardi Gras celebrating. Well, I’m wearing a Mardi Gras mask.
Three-year-olds and full-fledged Mardi Gras celebrating don’t exactly go together.

On a bit more appropriate level for a three-year-old, Levi and Dad and I trekked out to Googols of Fun in Lawrence, KS. It was fun to play on the piano like the one in the movie Big. I also liked climbing in the tunnels.

The big reason we went out there, though, is because Clifford the Big Red Dog was coming. I knew it was just someone in a costume, but I was still excited. That’s me down on the floor on my hands and knees pretending I’m Clifford.

I also had a couple play dates during Spring Break, when my preschool wasn’t in session. I went to Andrew and Elise’s house one day.

On another day, we were supposed to meet Miranda at Bump City, a huge play area with lots of mats and climbing equipment. Dad’s pathfinding abilities (or lack thereof) meant we didn’t get there until almost the end, but we did still go out to lunch together.

I did find time to play at home, too. Sometimes there wasn’t even time to get dressed before I had to get right to work on playing.

In a throwback to Dad’s days working with school-agers, he broke out some yarn and we strung it all over the guest bedroom to make a huge spider web. Hey, I’m three. I’m easily entertained. I’m not sure what Dad’s excuse is.

Well, that’s all for this month. See you in April!
