May 30, 2011: Levi’s 6th Birthday

First up for my party celebration was dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, which I just call “the fountain restaurant” because of their indoor fountain. They gave me a hat to wear and a free dessert.

Since my birthday is only two days after my grandma’s (Mama, at left), we do a combined family birthday celebration.

That happened before my birthday, so on the actual day, I opened presents from Mom and Dad and Evan. Dad also surprised me with a marbleworks which he built that nearly stretched to the ceiling!

I also had a birthday party with a few friends. We went to see Kung Fu Panda 2. That was also somewhat the theme of my party.

I say “somewhat” because when Mom helped me pick out my cake, I was sold on this one (no matter how much she tried to persuade me otherwise). Why? Because it had a transformer on it.

After the movie, we did the typical stuff – opened presents and ate cake!

Oh, and I got some birthday money from Grandmommy Shirley. I was very excited to buy these little critters. Their names are Mittens (the cat on the left) and Bandit (the raccoon on the right).

It was a great birthday. Dad was pretty amused with me when, just a few days later, I was already asking how many days until my next birthday. “360,” he answered. I guess I’ll share with you again in 360 days!
