2002

December 6, 2002: Here I am acting out the scene from the movie E.T. in which they hide the alien amongst the stuffed animals. All I know is I'm a little nervous that there may also be an alien hiding amongst my stuffed animals.

December 9, 2002: I had my four-month checkup today. I'm 17 pounds (95% in weight) and 25 1/2 inches, and healthy!

December 10, 2002: I held my bottle by myself for five minutes tonight!

November 2, 2002 December 12, 2002: After two months of tummy time work, I'm finally getting a handle on how to grab toys in front of me on the mat. By the way, Dad says this is his favorite picture of me so far.

December 15, 2002: One of my favorite activities now is playing in my saucer. I especially like bouncing up and down in it.

I also went to visit my cousins on Dad's side of the family today. We took pictures so that we can give Grandma and Grandpa Whitaker a photo of all four of us together.

December 19, 2002: I grabbed my feet today. I tried to pull them to my mouth, but that didn't seem to work.

December 22, 2002: We visited the Maleys today. Dad has known Steve Maley for about 25 years. Also pictured are his wife Jeanna and their kids Jenae and Spencer.

December 25, 2002: My first Christmas. Mom's side of the family came here to visit. We had a house full with Grandma Shirley, Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Chris, and my cousins Nate and Liz. I also celebrated with Dad's side of the family at the Whitaker grandparents. I got some wonderful gifts - books to read, some cool toys with rings to pull on, some cute outfits…and socks that actually stay on my feet! Grandma Shirley gave my parents a video camera, so now I'm going to be a star on film as well as this Web site that I'm sure gets thousands and thousands of hits daily. December 29, 2002: Mom took me to the park yesterday. Mom helped me down the slide and swung me in the swing. The best part, though, is when the wind blew the leaves and they swirled around. It was captivating.

December 11, 2002 December 30, 2002: I'm still working on this sitting up thing. When I reach to grab something I topple over. Balance, balance, balance. I gotta remember.

One of my favorite games is "The Kissing Game." Dad invented it. Mom or Dad lay on their backs and hold me up. They swoop me down toward their faces and give me a kiss. I smile and laugh every time!
