Christmas 2002

At under five months old, I've already managed to celebrate two Christmases. First, on December 21, 2002, Mom and Dad and I got together with Dad's side of the family in Kansas City. By the time Christmas day rolled around, Mom's family had come in from all parts of the country - North Carolina, Arizona, Minnesota, Pennsylvania - to spend Christmas at my house.

Of course, the real celebrations started early in December. First, I went to see Santa at Sprint where Mom works.

Here I am with my first Christmas present ever - a caterpillar that Dad named 'Kintzel,' after friends Jeremy and Shelly, who gave it to me.

Once I got into the spirit, though, I got a little eager and took to unwrapping a few on my own. Well, not really - but I sure look guilty, don't I?

At the Whitaker Christmas, I played with this present a long time before I knew there was actually something in it.

Here I'm surrounded by some of my presents.
Well, there you have it. My first TWO Christmases all wrapped up in a nice little package (or in this case, on one little web page) and topped off with a bow. I just hope there's this much fuss over Groundhog Day.
