2002

October 4, 2002 October 9, 2002: I had my two-month checkup. Doc says I'm 13 pounds 8 ounces, which puts me in the 90 percentile in weight, and 23 1/2 inches, which puts me in the 75 percentile in height.

October 3, 2002 October 4, 2002: Grandma Shirley (Mom's Mom) gave me this rattle to play with. I like to put it in my mouth more than shake it, though. These toy things could be fun!

October 8, 2002 October 8, 2002: I don't sit up yet, but I'll get there. For now, Mom and Dad have to prop me up or perch me in my bouncy chair.

October 27, 2002 October 27, 2002: Here I am with Steve VanLiew, one of Dad's friends for more than 20 years. Uncle Mark was Dad's best man at the wedding; Steve was Dad's 'better man.'

October 29, 2002: It's getting colder outside, but that doesn't stop Dad and I from our daily walk. Of course, I often fall asleep and don't even appreciate the walk regardless of the temperature.

October 31, 2002: I cooed and talked a lot today. I'm getting the hang of smiling and giggling, too.

November 2, 2002 October 31, 2002: I'm starting to discover these interesting things at the end of my arms. I think I heard Mom and Dad call them hands. Apparently I'm not the only one that has them either. How do people get anything done when they have these amazing things to look at all day?
