My 7th Birthday: August 9, 2009 |
Look! Up in the air – it’s Super 7 Evan! Well, okay, not up in the air, but certainly on cloud nine celebrating birthday #7. |
I decided I wanted a “Super Hero Training Party.” We would do games and activities that helped people to become super heroes. First up, though – a new costume was a necessity, so my first birthday present was this great Batman costume from Mom and Dad. I even passed on my too-small Superman PJs to Levi. |
As people arrived for the party, they could decorate their own Super Hero T-shirts (although only Levi opted for an actual super hero shirt). Then, we headed to our nearby park for a scavenger hunt to test our powers of observation. We stopped along the way at this bridge for a group photo. |
Then, after some playtime at the park, we played a Super Hero game where the hero had to figure out who the villain was that was secretly tagging people. |
Of course, even super heroes need nourishment, so then it was back to the Batcave (well, home) for cake and ice cream. |
Oh, and opening presents! |
That wasn’t the end of the birthday celebrations, though! The next day we went to my grandparents for another party. Uncle Mark, Aunt Liz, Cousin Kathy, Cousin Kevin, and his fiancé Lauren were all there as well. |
This meant another cake – this one homemade by Mama (my grandma)… |
…and more presents! My new Batman wings fit my super hero focus perfectly. |
My new soccer goal will be perfect for practicing for the soccer team I will be on this fall. |
Thanks to all my friends and family for all my presents and for making it a SUPER (or, as the Hen House bakery spells it SURPER) birthday! |
