Well, I’ve done it! I’ve finished kindergarten. In this photo, I’m all dressed up. I did that a lot this year – not because I had to or because Mom and Dad made me; I just liked it! This was for being Student of the Month in May. I wanted a tuxedo, so Mom bought me a bow tie to wear with one of my suits.
I got to ride in a Hummer from a local car dealer and celebrated with my friends afterwards.
We had lots of special events this year. At left, we celebrated our 100th day of kindergarten.
I’m not in the picture at the right, but you can see my friends celebrating Dr. Seuss Day eating green eggs and ham.
We brought the book Little Red Hen Makes Pizza to life (left) and got to be silly for pajama day! (right)
We also had fun parties, like for Valentine’s Day (left) and to celebrate the letter P with our popcorn party (right).
We had great family events, like Special Persons Day (left) when Mama and Papa visited my classroom and Muffins with Mom (right).
I also had fun making creations this year, like my gingerbread house (left) and my owl picture (right) that was featured at the district art show. There was even an article in the Kansas City Star about the show and they featured my owl and interviewed me!
We also had fun events like Field Day (left). This was kind of a Hot Potato game with a water balloon – seconds later it exploded on me!
Our worm races (right) were also a big event. My friend Matthew (pictured with Ella) made it to the Final 4! My friend Sam (not pictured) won it all!
Our big field trip of the year was to Deanna Rose Farm and I got to do things like ride the tractor and feed the goats.
Of course, I’ve been there many times and done those things before, but this was the first time with my kindergarten friends!
Here I am in a suit…again…this time for graduation. Dad put my certificates up on my closet door. I’m standing under my kindergarten graduation certificate. I also got awards for being on time, for being featured in the district art show, and for reading 244 books this year. War and Peace was especially difficult to get through.
Thanks to my teacher, Mrs. Stoll (right) and all my friends for making it a great year! Oh, and also thanks to Mrs. Stoll for some of the pictures on this page.
