Evan and Levi’s Winter of 2009-2010 |
A white Christmas in Kansas City?!?!? Say it ain’t so!! |
Hey, when we invite family to our house for Christmas, we go all out on the decorating. First, we make sure it snows on Christmas day. Second, we don’t hang those fake icicle lights from our roof; we go for the real thing! |
The Kansas City winter of 2009-10 offered plenty of opportunities for all the good ol’ fun-in-the-snow traditions. |
Having a white Christmas was only one of the seasonal highlights. One day after school, some of Evan’s friends and their families gathered at the big hill behind the school (shouldn’t every elementary school have the best sledding hill in the neighborhood?) for some fun in the sun, er, snow. |
Things kicked off with sledding.
Of course, what goes down must come up – or something like that. |
Then there has to be some snowball fighting... |
...and snowman building. |
This wasn’t just any ordinary snow, though. We were able to roll up huge snowballs, even creating a snow fort of sorts. |
After all that hard work, it is important to kick back and relax. |
That’s it for this year! See ya next winter! |
