Welcome to April! It has been a busy month. I had a couple of fun events with Family Network (kind of a PTA for early childhood), got a new sandbox, and celebrated Dad’s birthday and Easter weekend with my great grandmother. | Visit to the Fire Station: This is one of the activities sponsored by the Family Network. I was pretty fascinated by the big fire trucks and especially liked seeing the firefighters raise the ladders up in the air. |  |

Messy Night: This is easily the most popular Family Network activity. We get to play with paint, goop, shaving cream, and plenty of other good messy stuff. |  |

We went to a neighbor’s birthday party and I had a great time playing in the sandbox (photo on left), so much so that Mom and Dad went out and bought me my own turtle sandbox (photo on right). |  |

Mom got a picture phone this month and put it to use right away. Here are two photos she took – the car is at a local pizza place and the swing is at our nearby park which I can see from my house. In fact, when Dad and I go out and play in the front yard, I often see it through the houses across the street and say ‘par..par…’ Okay, so I forget the ‘k’, but Dad knows what I mean. |  |
| Speaking of Mom’s picture phone, I’m pretty fascinated with phones. Now when I get to talk to someone on the phone, I sometimes actually say things. I also like to pretend I’m calling someone – usually Uncle Mark, Grandma Shirley, or ‘Aunt’ JoJo (Mom’s friend Jodie). This is actually a picture from the hotel we stayed at over Easter weekend. Mom and Dad are busy, so I’m taking a message. |  |
| Last but not least, I have discovered a love of Hide ‘N’ Seek. I laugh when I play with Mom and Dad. One of them will hide with me and the other will find me or vice versa. In this shot, I’m trying to do both sides at once by hiding in the closet while simultaneously counting down to the ‘Ready or not, here I come’ part.
