Gunn Christmas 2004
The Gunn family Christmas was celebrated in Minnesota this year, where Aunt Jennifer lives. We had a big Christmas Eve dinner with some of her friends – here’s Jen posing before the tables before everyone descends on the food. Jennifer Gunn

It isn’t Christmas without cookies! Here I’m helping Grandmommy Shirley decorate Christmas cookies. I figure if I put my fingers on all the cookies, I get to eat all the cookies, right?

When Christmas morning rolled around, I was told I couldn’t open any presents until I’d cleaned the entire house. Rough family, huh? Just kidding! Believe it or not, I love sweeping. Just ask me about it again when I’m a teenager.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is opening presents – everyone else’s presents! Dad didn’t work fast enough, so I helped him tear open his package. When Uncle Chris got socks that were still being knitted, I saw no reason for him to not still try them on immediately. His son Mike and my mom look on, hoping they won’t have to rush Chris to the emergency room with a knitting needle gouged into his ankle.

Here I am with one of my presents. During the month as Mom prepped me for going to visit Santa, she would ask me what I was going to tell Santa I wanted. I always answered ‘pizza’ and, lo and behold, come Christmas morning, there was my very own toy pizza.

Well, that’s it for the Gunn Christmas. You can also check out my Whitaker family Christmas by clicking on the button below.
