Visit to Grandma Shirley's
4th of July weekend, 2003
July 7, 2003. For the 4th of July weekend, Mom, Dad, and I flew out to North Carolina (my second plane trip!) to visit Grandma Shirley. I got to see lots of other people while I was there, but it would be hard to top getting to see 'ga-ga' (Grandma).

Grandma was nice enough to share her toys with me.

 July 5, 2003.
July 3, 2003. We got to see Mom's friend Jean, who used to live in Chicago when Mom lived there, but she's now in North Carolina.

We also saw plenty of relatives, including Mom's Uncle Charlie, Aunt Jennie, and my cousin Mike.

July 4, 2003. Grandma, Mom, Dad, and I went to this great park for a picnic lunch. I got to wade in the stream and play at the playground. July 4, 2003.
July 4, 2003. We celebrated the actual 4th of July at a parade (naturally) where we saw plenty of Grandma's friends.

We also managed to get in a dip at the motel pool the night before we headed home.		 July 7, 2003.
