2004

Welcome to January!
Well, with the new year comes some new experiences, a return to some favorite experiences from the past (it seems weird to already talk about my past at a mere 17 months old), and some major celebrations. Coming up is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Seuss. There’ll be another photo on that in March, but I decided to celebrate early. I love sitting in this desk in my room. Usually this is Cat in the Hat’s chair, so I decided to share.

left to right: Evan, Chris, Kathy, Kevin Here I am with my three cousins on Dad’s side of the family. The oldest, Kevin, was home from military training for Christmas break.

More snow! Mom, Dad, and I got to go snowing again this month. There’s still more photos of sledding next month! I just can’t get enough of it!

Of course, you can’t play outside all the time. Still, I tried to bring the spirit of the outdoors inside by giving my stuffed snowman a ride on the bike I got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Whitaker.

I decided it might also be good to put some of that indoor time to good use and start investigating career options. You can never start too early.

If photography is my calling, then I have some work to do. Still, this isn’t bad for a shutterbug who has yet to celebrate his second birthday. I really did take the picture myself!

Hairdressing is definitely in strong contention as a job possibility. I’ve developed quite the interest in combing Mom and Dad’s hair for them. In this photo, Mom actually had just gotten her haircut. I’m not sure why she wouldn’t let me do it…
On second thought, there’s no reason to rush this work thing. I’ve got plenty of time; I should just sit back and enjoy life…and do a little vegging in front of the tube.
