Wow! Let me tell you – July was a busy month. We had plenty of activity. Where do I even start?
Well, I guess it doesn’t get much bigger than trips and seeing family – especially when it’s four generations at once. Mom and Dad and Evan and I went to visit my great grandmother and brought Mama (my grandma) along for the visit. She lives in an assisted living facility in Iowa and, for 91, gets along pretty well, is an optimistic person, and, despite some health problems, has pretty good control of her mental capacities still. I only have 90 years to go to catch up! |

Of course, being 1 meant that I kept my perspective on other important things as well – like playing in the dirt. |

Back at home, Dad and Evan and I found ways to keep ourselves entertained during the day. At left, I’m crawling through a maze at A.B. Bananas, and at right I’m playing in a big cushion ring at Bump City. Both places are targeted more toward my brother’s age which meant, as you can see, that I had a miserable time. Ha ha! |

A friend also tipped us off to a blueberry patch where we could go pick our own blueberries. That was pretty fun – I also liked the play area where they had this tunnel and hay bales for climbing. (You can see a picture of the tunnel at the bottom of this page). |

Of course, you can’t go ‘out’ all the time for fun; you’ve got to be able to entertain yourself at home as well. I’m getting good at playing by myself, but I also love being around big brother Evan. Here I’m trying to help him color. |
